Location
11 Tiroga Beach Lane, Ticonderoga, NY 518-585-7139

Ticonderoga’s Black Point Public Beach is located at the northern end of Lake George. Known for its “million dollar view”, the beach offers a spectacular view of historic Rogers Rock and the lake. Its natural sand bottom provides a rock-free swimming and wading opportunity for children and adults.

Black Point Beach is family-oriented and offers picnic and playground areas. Beach volleyball is available. The new “green” beach building has bathrooms and changing rooms. An outdoor shower allows visitors to rinse off before leaving.

This lake-friendly facility also provides information regarding protecting this beautiful spring-fed lake and is landscaped with native plants and a demonstration rain garden.

Unlike other public beaches around the lake, Black Point Beach offers free, unrestricted parking and does not charge for beach use. It is one of Lake George’s recreational gems.
