Recreation Supervisor (FT)

The Town of Ticonderoga is seeking to immediately fill the full-time position of Recreation Supervisor. This is a competitive class position, and the Town is currently seeking to hire someone on a provisional basis. The successful candidate would be required, per Civil Service regulations, to pass an examination once it is offered, and score amongst the top three candidates in order to achieve probationary/permanent status. This position would be responsible for the oversight of the Town of Ticonderoga after-school program, all youth-related activities including the summer program, as well as beach operations and the lifeguards who are seasonally employed at the Beach in the summer. The Town of Ticonderoga offers a strong benefit package, including participation in the NYS Retirement System, comprehensive medical insurance & HSA, optional deferred compensation plan and a generous paid vacation and holiday schedule. Summer Program Day Camp Director

The Summer Day Camp Program typically operates for 5 full weeks following the 4th of July Holiday. Prior experience preferred. Rate of pay is $19.87/hour. Summer Program Day Camp Counselor

The Town of Ticonderoga is seeking interested applicants for the position of Counselor for the 2021 Summer Program Day Camp. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older, reside in Ticonderoga, Hague or Putnam and have experience working with children. The Summer Day Camp Program typically operates for 5 full weeks following the 4th of July Holiday. Applications along with letters of intent will be accepted until close of business on March 19, 2021.
Food Service Helpers / Cook

Head Lifeguard

The Town of Ticonderoga is seeking interested applicants for the position of Head Lifeguard at the Tiroga Beach. Applicants must be 18 years old, have two years experience as a lifeguard and have received basic life support and water safety training as well as carry current Red Cross CPR and First Aid certifications. Note: CPR Certifications must be renewed annually. Applicants should also possess a strong work ethic, reliability and be able to work flexible hours as needed. Inability to work scheduled hours will result in dismissal. Applications will be accepted until close of business on March 19, 2021.
Lifeguard

Activities Attendant

The Town of Ticonderoga is seeking interested applicants for the position of Activities Attendant for the After-School Program. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older and have experience working with children. The After-School Program operates while school is in session between the hours of 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This position is part-time at the rate of $12.86/hour.
Youth Commission Member

The Town of Ticonderoga is looking for interested individuals to be members of the Ticonderoga Youth Commission. This is a volunteer position with monthly meetings. There is also the occasional need to chaperone an event and opportunity to share your talents and abilities through the commission. A passion for working with children is imperative for the success of the program.
