POSITION DESCRIPTION
Library Aide This position is part-time (approximately 18 1/2 hrs/wk) with no benefits. Schedule may require flexibility during busy summer season and employee vacations. Applicant should be a reliable, motivated self-starter requiring minimal supervision, extremely detail oriented, be familiar with the operation of office equipment, use computers competently, answer frequent questions about computers, and have excellent public service skills. Climbing stairs and ability to bend, squat, stand, twist, reach and lift heavy boxes up to 45lbs. required. Selected applicants will be given a basic library skills evaluation prior to interview. Groundskeeper This position is part-time with varying hours and no benefits. Minimum qualifications are 1 year experience as a laborer engaged in groundskeeper activities or as a watchman.
Police Officer The Town is accepting applications for lateral transfer NYS Police Officer for both Full-Time and Part-Time officers who hold an active BMP Certification as Police Officer. Only applicants holding certification and qualification will be considered. Pay will be per the current CBA schedule. Applications are being accepted through March 1, 2017
Youth Commission Member The Town of Ticonderoga is looking for interested individuals to be members of the Ticonderoga Youth Commission. This is a volunteer position with monthly meetings. There is also the occasional need to chaperone an event and opportunity to share your talents and abilities through the commission. A passion for working with children is imperative for the success of the program. Activities Attendants The Town of Ticonderoga is seeking interested applicants for the position of Activities Attendant for the After-School Program. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older and have experience working with children. The After-School Program operates while school is in session between the hours of 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Senior Bus Driver This position is part-time. Schedule may require flexibility with other bus drivers. Applicant should be reliable and have a friendly disposition. A valid New York State driver’s license is required.
Lifeguard The Town of Ticonderoga is seeking interested applicants for the position of Lifeguard at the Tiroga Beach. Applicants must be have received basic life support and water safety training as well as carry current Red Cross CPR and First Aid certifications. Applicants should also possess a strong work ethic and be able to work flexible hours as needed. Applications are being accepted through March 31, 2017.
Counselor The Town of Ticonderoga is seeking interested applicants for the position of Counselor for the Summer Program Day Camp. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older, reside in Ticonderoga, Hague or Putnam and have experience working with children. The Summer Day Camp Program typically operates for 5 full weeks following the 4th of July Holiday. Applications are being accepted through March 31, 2017.
