Library Aide

This position, at the Black Watch Memorial Library, is part-time (approximately 18 1/2 hrs/wk) at $12.24/hour, with no benefits. Schedule may require flexibility during busy summer season and employee vacations. Applicant should be a reliable, motivated self-starter requiring minimal supervision, extremely detail oriented, be familiar with the operation of office equipment, use computers competently, answer frequent questions about computers, and have excellent public service skills. The ability to climb stairs, bend, squat, stand, twist, reach and lift heavy boxes up to 45lbs is required. Selected applicants will be given a basic library skills evaluation prior to interview. The Town of Ticonderoga is seeking interested applicants for the position of Counselor for the Summer Program Day Camp. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older, reside in Ticonderoga, Hague or Putnam and have experience working with children. The Summer Day Camp Program typically operates for 5 full weeks following the 4th of July Holiday.
Activities Attendant The Town of Ticonderoga is seeking interested applicants for the position of Activities Attendant for the After-School Program. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older and have experience working with children. The After-School Program operates while school is in session between the hours of 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This position is part-time at the rate of $12.24/hour.
Accounting Officer The Town of Ticonderoga will be accepting applications for the position of Accounting Officer to run the Town’s Finance Department. The duties of the position include overseeing the Town’s financial operations, including staff supervision, meeting compliance requirements as specified by the NY Office of the State Comptroller (OSC) and filing the Town’s annual update document. The applicant should also be proficient at operating a computerized accounting system, of which the Town currently utilizes KVS software. A team player who communicates well is desired. Accounting degree preferred. The position is full-time, benefit eligible.
Youth Commission Member The Town of Ticonderoga is looking for interested individuals to be members of the Ticonderoga Youth Commission. This is a volunteer position with monthly meetings. There is also the occasional need to chaperone an event and opportunity to share your talents and abilities through the commission. A passion for working with children is imperative for the success of the program.
